Children in the Philippines saved from death!
A historic day for the Philippines indeed, for they have achieved another stepping stone in medicine for a successful liver transplant operation in the country. Lots of doctors especially in Manila has the skills but does not have such facilities to perform major operations such as Liver transplant before. But now, it seems like the Philippines had been putting up investments on their hospitals for the betterment of their services for the Filipino people, which is a really good job.
Children who are diagnosed with the disease called "Biliary Atresia" are also called "Yellow babies". "Biliary Atresia" normally hits new born babies, especially the females. It is a congenital liver disease that hits one out of 15 children in the country. An operation which the doctors normally call a "Transplant" operation normally costs not less than 3 million peso, and is not widely available in every country.
